HOW THE PROCESS WORKS
This is a brief discovery call to introduce ourselves, answer any questions, and ensure that a psilocybin journey is safe for your participation.
2. Preparation - Video Call:
Every mushroom experience is unique and deserves preparation that is tailored to the client’s specific needs. To prepare, we will discuss psilocybin’s effect on the body, the client’s expectations of their journey, their medical & mental health history, dosage options, a transportation plan, and any pertinent details related to the paperwork required by the Oregon Health Authority (OHA). In addition, I will provide helpful tips and insights learned through personal experience, along with simple breathing exercises, grounding techniques, and mindful practices to help my clients settle into their mushroom journey feeling confident, safe, and supported. Lastly, the preparation session is a collaboration with the client to create the perfect setting for a transformational experience. This may include: •Setting intentions for the journey. •Visualization techniques for a desired outcome. •Addressing any fears or concerns. •Discussing ways to nourish the mind, body, and spirit. •Spending pre-journey time in nature. •Focusing on a healthy diet. •Engaging in a daily practice such as light stretching, meditation, or journaling. •Choosing a mantra, or meaningful prayer for the journey. •Focusing on positivity, gratitude, and self-compassion. This VIRTUAL session lasts 1-2 hours
Preparation - In-Person:
We will have a brief, in-person meeting the day before your psilocybin experience to: •Meet your facilitator in person. •Familiarize yourself with the facility. •Review details from our previous preparation session. •Create a journey space that emphasizes your safety, support, and comfort. •Complete any additional paperwork.
3. Administration:
The client and facilitator will meet at a Licensed Service Center in Ashland, Oregon at the agreed-upon date and time. The reserved room will be arranged according to the client's preferences. This includes: •A comfortable temperature-controlled room. •A variety of blankets and pillows for enhanced relaxation. •Music from a carefully selected playlist. •An eye mask to sink deeper into the experience. •Items to encourage sensory stimulation. •An outdoor area with a beautiful touch of nature. •Any additional amenities needed to ensure client safety and comfort. •Post journey snacks and refreshments As a facilitator, I provide a safe and supportive environment for my clients to feel confident and prepared for a deeper, more meaningful mushroom journey. •Administration session is roughly 4-6 hours (depending on dosage) and is held IN PERSON in Oregon. •Clients will not be able to drive, operate a vehicle or heavy machinery after their psilocybin experience. A transportation plan from the service center will be discussed during the preparation session.
4. Integration:
Integration is where the magic really happens!! Integration is the process of understanding the insights that you have gained during the mushroom journey and applying them to your life in a lasting way. It takes the pieces of your experience and brings them together in ways that produce permanent and positive change. The integration process can be an extremely beneficial time to enjoy the profound benefits of the journey, navigate any challenges that may arise, focus on the subtleties of the experience and discuss any realizations, insights, emotions, or lessons learned during the experience. Your integration includes an in-person session the day after your psilocybin mushroom journey, and a virtual session 1 to 3 weeks later. These sessions last 1 –2 hours each. Additional integration sessions are available if desired. Integration may be an ongoing process; lasting for days, months, or sometimes years, as the benefits and insights of the experience continue to unfold. This is a great time to: • Continue the mindful practices discussed in our preparation and integration sessions. • Attend additional integration meetings. • Reach out to additional support systems. • Book a psilocybin journey to deepen the connection.
